COD Charge: A Simple 1%

In Steadfast's own wording, a 1% cash on delivery and risk management charge applies.

That means 1% of whatever the customer pays at the door is deducted, and the rest comes to you. A quick example:

You receive: ৳935 (if you absorb the delivery charge)

Many sellers charge the customer for delivery. In that case the customer pays ৳1,055, and the 1% applies to the full collected amount.

Return Charge: The Cost Nobody Budgets For

If a customer refuses the parcel or never answers the phone, the parcel comes back to you. You have already paid for the delivery attempt, and a return cost gets added on top. If 10 orders a month fail, the math looks like this:

Three practical rules:

Charge delivery by route. ৳60 to ৳80 inside Dhaka and ৳120 to ৳150 outside keeps the base rates (৳55 to ৳135) off your margin.
Keep the 1% COD charge in your margin math. ৳10 on a ৳1,000 product feels small, but at 300 orders a month that is ৳3,000.
